Hi Brandy your haircut is super cute and your right you almost have your hair perfected and with a bit of tweeking you can. To achieve the Bang you desire you will need to go heavier with it but by doing that it will take away from the length of your hair most girls that have this look are super heavy on top and have just a tad on LONG hair in the back. If you wish to keep your length then you can always add a few clip in extensions to add thickness and length. There are some hairstyle ideas for you:

1. This is my top pick for you both in style and in color. The color is nice having the dark contrast with the blond. I love the look around the face with the harsh angles and the softness from all the razoring the bang. The color would work well with you as well. If you wanted a more colorful look you could always add colors to the blond pieces.

2.This is my second pick for you I love the length with your face and the bang is close to what you like. To get the bang you desire you are going to have to find a stylist who is familiar with your style one who maybe does other girls like you in your town and one who is good with her razor! The color is different and would work well with your coloring and natural color

3. This is my 3rd pick for you this is what it would look like if you add more bang and go a bit shorter. The other pictures quite possibly have hair extensions in the hair. This color is close to your natural and the smokey eye is super cool with the entire look!

4. This I thought I would throw out there if you wanted something totally different in color. She also does not have hair extensions in it is her natural length and the bang you desire.

Attached are a few head shots I have taken of myself on different days when I use the same haircut and color, just in different styles. Im bored with this color and style. I do love my hair medium long with layers however with so many styles and colors out there,  I would like to try something that would go well with my face shape (heart shape, I think), and my latin skin color.

Hi Lidia, so from the looks of your pictures you do have long layered hair, I think that your eyes are the most amazing almond shape and your lashes are to die for! So with all these assets it is not hard to pick a style for you, however in your pics you have a few different styles I love the long and the layered styles I will be sending you a few long styles with a slight color change in hope this will brighten your world. Your exotic looks and almond eyes will be an inspiration for these looks:

1. My top pick for you, a slight Ombre color the change still in the exotic looks you have to begin with but beautiful long layers with amazing face framing layers to blend it all together. Keep in mind while doing this to not go to light stay in the browns to keep the dark beauty you have.

2. This is my second choice for you, still staying with your amazing looks just adding some slight changes as you requested. This is an amazing look for your eyes and face shape. Bangs is a huge change but with the right layers not so bad. The thing I like with these bangs is they are just slightly longer on the sides. You will have to find a stylist that sees and understands this. But so beautiful

3. My next look for you is a color and style change this will involve a Balayage highlight with an Ombre highlight on the ends but as you can see well worth the efforts! This is slightly lighter then your natural but make sure you do not go to light with the highlights. You are not looking for blond just a couple shades will do the trick. You can achieve this look buy using a large Iron to make a wave all in the same direction back away from you face the slightly running your fingers thru it to rumple it just a bit!

You can’t help but like the way that this medium champagne blonde brings out all of Emma Stone’s rosy cheeked, All American girl beauty and gives her the youthful look she needs to reprise her role as Gwen Stacey in ‘The Amazing Spiderman 2.’

This rich color is not quite red, but it is not quite mahogany either, but it is an almost perfect blend of the two that compliments the model’s olive skin tone perfectly.

Color streaks like these, often achieved using hair pastels, can either look quirky and cool or just plain messy, a little like a toddler was let loose with crayons on someone’s hair. This, fortunately, is a great example of the look done right.

These frosted beige blonde curls have a luminous quality that really lights up this model’s face and it’s a shade of blonde that looks expensive and sophisticated.

This is a gorgeous mixture – caramel, gold, beige, there are so many complimentary shades here. It is a perfect sun kissed look, far more attractive than streaky, one color note highlights.

Raspberries are a staple for summer and we can easily see how this shade, that mimics them very well, could be too.

Almost everything about this color is just right, which is why we like it so much! The blonde shade is just the right combination of lighter tones and the very subtle pale pink highlights are the perfect way to add a little extra shot of color without going too over the top.

Hi Angie, I like the fact you are so daring in your choices for hair color. However the tones of the reds are a bit off for your coloring these are a few vibrant reds but both are a deeper version.

Pic one is an all over Red this is not a normal color you will need to find a stylist who is well versed in these “punk” kind of colors if done correctly they are awesome but a few changes in lifestyle will be required. You will need to wash your hair in cool water, use dark colored towels and sheets. The upkeep in these types of colors is high maintenance and they do fade extremely fast.

The Second picture is the same kind of red but with Dark/Black lowlights This is much less upkeep still has the fun look you desire but may suit your needs in your lifestyle better. Please keep in mind these are very hard to achieve colors you really need to find a stylist who can do these kinds of looks.

Pics three and four are of a color which again will look great with your skin tones but the upkeep is less but in doing that step you have to have a more brown violet color instead of the vibrant one you were looking for.  Both are still nice but are much more subdued in tones.

It is hard to decide just which of the Beckhams – David or Victoria – have had more different hairstyles over the years because they have both changing their look so often. In the case of the former Posh Spice (also the former Victoria Adams) we have seen the blunt bob she sported during the early Spice Girls years, a look that became so easily associated with the singer that it was dubbed the Pob (short for Posh’s Bob) bleached blonde hippy styles, hair extensions, both good and bad and a variety of shorter cuts and updos.

Here is a brief look at some of the best (and a few of the worst) of those styles, beginning with the looks Mrs B has been sporting recently in her latest career as an award winning fashion designer.

2010 – At an LG Launch party (the Beckhams have an LG ad campaign) Victoria turned a basic bob into a romantic tousled look that was well done without being overdone.

2009 -To launch her very risque Armani underwear campaign Victoria chose to leave her short bobbed hair a little unkempt and rock a rather sultry bed head look.

Later in the year though, needing to get a little more polished and serious for the British Fashions Awards she added extensions and opted for a “Liz Taylor in Cleopatra” look that she pulled off rather well.

2008 – To launch her first signature fragrance line Victoria decided to turn up the avant garde style and debuted a boyish, slicked back short crop that may not have been her most flattering hair look but did lend her some serious style cred at a time when her fashion design aspirations were not being taken very seriously.

2007 – In 2007 Victoria debuted the asymmetrical bob that would become her signature style for the next year or so. Initially she opted to go very blond, perhaps a nod to the fact that she was making the move from England to LA, but she soon returned to her more usual brunette color.

2003 – At the launch of the rap clothing label Roc a Fella (as owned by Damon Dash and Jay Z) Victoria rocked true rock/rap chick waves. It looks dated now but that was IN back then so Vicky was on point with the trends as usual.

2001 – While still very much a Spice Girl but now Victoria Beckham and Adams no more, Posh Spice showed up to a Radio 1 pop festival with this rather dodgy hippy look, complete with skunk stripes. Certainly not her finest hair moment.

1999 -Given just how much of a genuinely respected fashionista Victoria Beckham has become you do have to wonder if she cringes (just a little bit) when she looks back at the very 90s hairstyles she and David chose for their wedding day looks. Or maybe it’s just the little princess crown that is really awful here…

For many of us the start of a New Year means its is time for a bit of self reinvention – everything from pledging to give up smoking, stop eating unhealthy foods or create a new look for themselves. Choosing a great new hair color can be a great way to start creating a new look for themselves and there are certainly some hot trends for 2013 that you may want to take a closer look at. Here are a few of them:

A Rainbow of Pastels

Pastel hair colors do two things at one – they surprise with a burst of bold color but they also enhance femininity and can help create a look that is almost fairytale like and certainly very pretty.

When it comes to using pastels there really are no rules. A solid all over pastel can be very effective, in everything from the palest of pinks, blues and greens to less expected shades like a gentle orange or a cool lavender.

Another great option to consider is to combine two hot trends in one – pastel hair and the ombre look. For example cascading a soft pink shade into a bold lavender is a very striking look that will suit almost any skin tone as it is an almost perfect balance or warm and cool tones.

Another trend that you can consider involves the way you color your hair. Hair pastels – which look like crayons – are very hot right now and make using color almost foolproof as you can ‘draw’ the colors onto to your hair which allows you a level of control it is hard to achieve with conventional dyes.

Natural with an Edge

For those who prefer to keep their hair color fairly natural the big news for 2013 is that darker colors – jet blacks, dark browns with purple or blue undertones, – may be bigger news than the lighter shades that dominated last year. In fact watch for the pale, icy platinum blonde shades that were so hot in 2012 to give way to softer, golden shades of blonde and to reddish hues of strawberry and titian blonde that warm the complexion rather than ‘chill’ it out.

Streaky Color

Color steaks in almost every shade of the rainbow are a great way for the color shy to try out a slightly edgier look without going too far. Color can be used to great effect to highlight just a single part of your hairstyle – the end, the bangs – but streaking can be hard to pull off successfully at home.

Again though, you may want to look into using hair pastels. The look is not permanent, it only lasts a few weeks, but that may not even be a bad thing as you can then experiment to your heart’s content without having to commit to a single look for months at a time.

Ombre and Reverse Ombre

The ombre look was big in 2012 and you can expect that it will remain big in 2013 as well. If you are a little tired of the trend there are some ways you can switch it up a little to make it fresh for the New Year.

The reverse ombre can be a rather stunning look, cascading a very light color into a darker one and if you forgo the brunette into blond look that was everywhere in 2012 and replace it with less expected shades that have gold, red or even purple undertones you can freshen the look up as well.

Lavender Blonde – A lavender shade of blonde is the perfect choice for the corporate gal who would love to be more outrageous with their hair but knows their position prevents that. The hue is a choice that will be seen as unexpected but is unlikely to be frowned on too hard and the subtle color pop will warm up a pale complexion beautifully too!

Golden Browns – Adding gold tones to a ashy brown color creates a look that is warm, flattering and interesting that is also still totally grown up and professional.

Ombre and Reverse Ombre – Ombre hair – dark roots that blend into lighter ends – is one of the hottest hair color trends of the year. As long as it is done the right way, the colors must blend, not settle in skunk stripes, ombre hair can be stunning and achieved in shades from dark brown to light blonde.

For an even more unexpected but still office friendly look try a reverse ombre, light roots than blend into dark ends.

“Hi! This is my current hair color/style. I achieved it by bleaching my hair and extensions to a light blonde and then mixing a dark blue (Punky Colours- Turquoise) with conditioner. I then applied the mixture to my extensions and natural hair and left it on for an hour or so. The finished result came out wonderfully!”

Looking for a new up-do idea for the party season? This style is a rather versatile one that is acombination of two different hair-styling techniques to create one striking look. Here’s how it is done:

Begin by choosing what side you want to part your hair and which side you want to add the braid to. Once you have done that take a section of hair from the top and divide it into three.

To create an inverted braid the technique is the same as the one you would use to create a French braid but instead of braiding the sections over one another the idea is to go under instead. As you go keep incorporating hair into the braid to create that French woven look but
remembering to go under, and not over, every time you cross the strands. If you want a look that is a little ‘chunkier’ carefully tugging at each section of braid will loosen it slightly and bulk up the look a little.

Once your braid is finished and you have secured the end with a clear elastic, pin it in place at the side of your face using a few bobby pins.

To create the side bun gather the rest of your hair onto the same side of your head as the braid and put it into a low ponytail. Loosely pin sections of the ponytail into place with bobby pins. Spritz the finished look with a little hairspray to keep everything in place.
